Nestled in the stunning Dumfries and Galloway region, the castle offers a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views of Clatteringshaws Loch and Galloway Forest Park. The spacious holiday home was well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay - from a cozy fireplace to a fully stocked kitchen. the large garden with a BBQ was a hit with the kids, while the river views from the patio were a treat for the adults. Overall, Machermore Castle is the perfect getaway for families and friends looking to reconnect with nature in a rural setting. With complimentary private parking and activities like game walks and birdwatching nearby, this charming castle is a must-visit destination for those seeking a peaceful and relaxing holiday.
